Marylou Para is a cardiac surgeon at Bichat Hospital, where she specialises in transplantation and circulatory assistance, as well as minimally invasive techniques. At the same time, she is a PhD-candidate at Inserm, and is involved in training in radiological and surgical anatomy within UPCité. In cardiac surgery, the use of video is an essential asset, not only in clinical terms (comparing preoperative images at multidisciplinary meetings), but also in educational terms (practical teaching, tutorials) and scientific terms (sharing experience and high-quality communications). Finally, her team is particularly involved in innovation in healthcare (simulation, mixed reality, artificial intelligence), and is therefore very open to multimedia tools.
