Kevin SERROR is Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and the Burns Treatment Centre at Saint Louis Hospital (APHP).
Specialising in reconstructive surgery, his work focuses on the treatment of burn victims, post-cancer breast reconstruction and malformations, as well as skin and soft tissue cancers.
Teaching is at the heart of his day-to-day work, as he is the educational coordinator for the postgraduate diploma (DU) in anatomy of flaps in plastic surgery, in charge of surgical courses in the postgraduate diploma (DIU) in burns, wound healing and necrosis, and in the postgraduate diploma (DES) in plastic surgery.
As a post-doctoral fellow in INSERM Unit 976, he is working on the development of innovative therapies for wound healing disorders and skin fibrosis, particularly in the aftermath of burns.
“Teaching in conditions close to reality, particularly through simulation, is a major advance in teaching. Video is an essential tool for passing on our surgical knowledge and expertise!”
